Ada E. (Maccagnan) Rodrigues

Ware - Ada E. (Maccagnan) Rodrigues, age 98 passed away in the comfort of her home on Saturday, November 4, 2023.  Ada was born on July 12, 1925 in Bouligny, France to parents of Italian descent, the late Dominic and Celestina (Bottegal) Maccagnan.  She was raised and educated in Bouligny, France and lived through the Nazi occupation of Bouligny, France. Ada met Joseph Rodrigues, an American Soldier serving in France during the war, and eventually married Joseph.  She emigrated to the United States of America in 1947 and moved to Ludlow.  Ada was a loving stay at home wife and mother.  She moved to Ware in July of 2011 to reside with her daughter.  Ada was a faithful catholic, and was a long-time communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Ludlow.  She loved her garden in Ludlow,  she loved long conversations with her friends and family, she loved little things, like Peeps at Easter and Word Search Puzzles.  Ada loved to watch Television, her favorite shows were Dancing with the Stars, CNN News, and the comedy team of Laurel & Hardy.  She loved music, especially Elvis and Sinatra.  Ada leaves behind her loving daughter and caregiver, Donna Chiaravalle, with whom she made her home, her sons; Dominic Rodrigues, Jimmy Rodrigues, and Steven Rodrigues.  She also leaves behind her loving grandchildren; Brian Rodrigues-Thomas, Tanya Barnicoat, Michael Rodrigues, Joey Chiaravalle and Vincent Chiaravalle, and her great-grandchildren; Blake Thomas, Kyle Thomas and Jackson Rodrigues, and her cat Blacky.  Ada was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph Rodrigues on November 6, 1992.   A Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 11 am - 12 noon in the Cebula Funeral Home Chapel, 66 South Street, Ware.  A Funeral Procession will form at 12 Noon followed by a 1 pm Graveside Service with Prayers of Committal in St. Aloysius Cemetery, in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield.  For more information and an online guest book, please visit:  www.cebulafuneralhome.com .
