Alice C. (Nikodem) Gula

Alice C. (Nikodem) Gula passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord, surrounded by her loving son on Thursday, July 18, 2019.  Born August 9, 1927 in Bondsville, MA she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Wrobel) Nikodem.  Alice was the wife of Edward S. Gula who predeceased her in 1979.  She will be deeply missed b her beloved, devoted and only child, Edwin with whom she lived.  She is survived by her son Edwin and several nieces and nephews:  Patricia & Stephen Truchan, Cynthia & Robert Gallant, James and Donna Boyko and Barbara Lee and Beverly.  She was predeceased by her niece Barbara (Boyko) Cohrs in 2019.  She will now be reunited with her husband, parents, and sisters, Valeria A. Pollack, Lena A. Boyko and brothers, Edward, John and Stephen Nikodem.  Alice graduated from Palmer High School and after graduation worked for the Palmer Savings Bank.  She later joined her husband in operating the Economy Fruit Store in Palmer.  She was also employed by the Crimmins Insurance Agency and the Prudential Insurance Company until her retirement.  Mrs. Gula was a faithful communicant of the Church of The Divine Mercy, belonging to its Rosary Sodality and she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella.  A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 10AM , at the Church of The Divine Mercy in Three Rivers, MA.  Interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Bondsville.  There are no calling hours.  Cebula Funeral Home of Ware has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
