Charles Howard Bolduc Jr., lovingly known as Chuck, passed away peacefully on October 8 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was surrounded by his devoted family, close friends, and the comforting sound of Jimmy Buffett tunes as he sailed off from this life. A lifelong mariner with salt in his veins, Chuck spent much of his life on or near the water. From cleaning and docking boats to captaining vessels of his own, he knew every Cape tide and current by heart. He proudly earned his captain’s license and found joy in every sunrise over the ocean. The sea was his peace, his adventure, and his favorite place to be. Chuck was a beacon of light in every room and an anchor in even the stormiest moments. His humor was unmatched, his heart pure gold, and his spirit endlessly kind. He had a love of all things nautical – though his fishing expertise remains a topic of debate among those who joined him on the water. He was a man who made everyone feel welcome in his presence and had a soft spot for animals of all kinds, always offering a caring word or gentle hand to any creature that crossed his path. He is survived by his partner, Kerstin Holve, and her children, Jocelyn Glaze and Zachary Scherpa and their partners; his sons, Ronnie Miner and John Miner, and their partners; and his adored daughters, Lesley Little and her partner, and Jessica Bolduc. He was the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren to whom he imparted his love of the Cape. He also leaves behind a close circle of lifelong friends. He will be welcomed home by his mother, Jeanne Bolduc (Masse); his father, Charles Howard Bolduc Sr.; and his beloved dog, Sandy. A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held in June 2026 on Cape Cod (date and location to be announced). Family and friends will be invited to share memories, raise a glass, and honor him in true Buffett fashion – with love, music, and laughter. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen’s Alliance, in memory of Chuck’s adventurous spirit and generous heart. Fair winds and following seas, Captain. Hang loose – you will be deeply missed. Cebula Funeral Home of Ware is assisting Chuck's family with the final arrangements.
