David M. King

David M. King, age 67, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Harmony House in Chicopee.  He was born in Ware on June 12, 1952, son of the late Roland and Beatrice (Smith) King.  He graduated from Ware High School in 1973.  David worked in environmental services at Mary Lane Hospital in Ware before his retirement.  He is survived by his beloved daughter, Jennifer Maloney and her husband Patrick of Palmer, his brothers, Richard C. King and his wife Patricia of Chicopee, Ronald A. King and his wife Deborah of Gilbertville, Christopher King and his late wife Barbara of Ware, Russell King of Warren, and his sister, Denise Baron and her husband Steve of Belchertown, three loving grandsons:  Tyler and Brayden King and Dylan Maloney.  David was predeceased by his beloved wife, Velma (Dickinson) King in 2009, his daughter, Amy King in 2016 and his brother, Bruce King in 2018.  After his daughter Amy's death, David became the mentor, loving, supportive, and devoted grandfather to Tyler and Brayden, Amy's sons.  A Calling Period was held on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the Cebula Funeral Home Chapel, Ware.  Cremation took place on Monday, July 22, 2019 in Springfield Cemetery and Crematory.  David's entire family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Harmony House for the exceptional care and comfort given to him during his stay with them.
