Debra Keegan Obituary

Debra A. Keegan, 56, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, July 5, 2019.  Debbie was born in Ware, MA to William S. and Ruth P. Skutnik.  Debbie spent her childhood years in Gilbertville, MA and later Ware, MA where she created an amazing life with her husband and best friend Garrett with whom she shared an enduring love, and their two daughters Lauren and Meghan who were the lights of her life and whom she was so proud of. She had a rewarding career that she enjoyed at Country Bank where she created many lifelong friends and many wonderful memories. Debbie was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ware, MA where she attended school and then later graduated from Ware High School.
Debbie enjoyed everything life had to offer, she could always be found cheering on "her boys," her favorite team, the Boston Red Sox.  She loved going out to dinner with family or friends, but most of all with her devoted husband Garrett. She absolutely adored her two daughters, Lauren and Meghan. She was so proud of them and always supported them in every way. A recent addition to the family, Amelia her miniature schnauzer, brought her pure joy. Her favorite destination was Cape Cod where she spent many wonderful vacations with family and she cherished every moment. Debbie was filled with love for everyone and everything around her, she never missed a chance to say "I love you," or to remind you how beautiful the things were around you. She could make you smile with a silly story or by telling you that she "love, love, loved" something, or she would just make you feel loved by one of her great "mom hugs."
Debbie is survived by her adoring husband, Garrett Keegan and two loving daughters Lauren Keegan and Meghan Keegan of Ware, MA. Her parents William and Ruth Skutnik of Ware, MA.  Her brother John Skutnik to whom she was a dear and spunky sister and his wife Kirsten of Indialantic, FL; Jaelyn Bacon who was predeceased by her husband Bill Bacon of Wales, MA; and Kenneth and Deborah Keegan of Wolcott, CT. She also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Visiting hours for Debbie will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at All Saints Church in Ware, MA with mass beginning at 11AM. There will be a funeral reception to follow at Pinocchio's Ristorante at 2054 Bridge St in Three Rivers, MA. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Dakin Humane Society at 171 Union St., Springfield, MA, 01105. Cebula Funeral Home was entrusted with the final arrangements.
