Edna M. (Enos) Urban, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Edna was born in Plymouth, Massachusetts on September 26, 1940, daughter of the late Albert and Marietta (Sears) Enos. She graduated from North Brookfield High School in 1957. On March 1, 1958 she entered into marriage with Frederick S. Urban and moved to Ware in 1959. Edna was employed as a sales clerk at the former Convenience Plus in Ware, and was the store manager at Cumberland Farms in Gilbertville where she worked for 23 years, retiring in 2000. Edna loved to travel, along with her husband Fred, they traveled extensively all over the world. She was a skilled seamstress, sewing for her family, baking birthday cakes for her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was a avid reader, took daily road trips through the Quabbin with her husband in their yellow 1972 Oldsmobile convertible. Edna was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved all children, and her family was the most important part of her life. Edna will be loved and missed by all those who new and loved her. She was a Type 1 diabetic for 65 years and was a 50 Year Medalist at the Joslin Diabetic Center in Boston. Edna is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Frederick S. "Fred" Urban; her loving daughters, Mary Ann Gauthier and her husband Richard, Deborah McNaulty and her husband Tony and Irene Granlund and her husband Paul, her brother William Enos and his wife Linda, 7 cherished grandchildren: Toni, Jason, Danielle, Jamie, Melinda, Katie and Shaun, and her 9 beloved great-grandcildren: Damon, Tyler, Landyn, Brayden, Maycie, Sophie, Amelia, Carlee and Xander (BB). She also leaves her sister-in-law, Evelyn Urban and brother-in-law, Artie Marczyk and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11:30 AM from the Cebula Funeral Home Chapel, 66 South Street, Ware. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 12 Noon in St. Mary's Church, 60 South Street, Ware. Burial will follow in the St. Adalbert Section of St. Mary's Cemetery in Ware. Calling Hours will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 5 - 7 PM in the funeral home chapel.
