Edward Joseph Perrot, 59, of North Brookfield, MA, passed away on January 6, 2025.Ed brought creativity, passion and a unique perspective to everything that he did in his life. After studying Landscape Architecture Design at UMass Amherst, he put his skills and knowledge to work running his own Landscape design and construction business, helping people and businesses realize their visions for beautiful outdoor living and gathering spaces. He and his wife Jacky shared an appreciation of antiques and collectibles and spent many seasons as vendors at the Brimfield Flea Market; he was always curious about the backstory of whatever was being bought or sold. Ed was rarely satisfied doing things the "standard" way and was always coming up with his own way of doing things. He would look at an old door and immediately think of turning it into a tabletop or other useful furniture item. Many people purchased and enjoyed his repurposed creations over the years. He always had a love for cooking and worked in local restaurants in his youth. In 2023 he completed studies and received a certification in Culinary Arts and began working as a Chef at MGM Springfield. Throughout Ed's adult life he was faced with several health challenges, beginning with a Leukemia diagnosis in his early 20's. He never allowed illness to define him, he was always fighting to recover, focused on the future, optimistically dreaming about his next adventure. Ed had many interests, he enjoyed traveling and spending time outdoors and had a special affinity for the ocean - he was always looking forward to going to the beach or the next big fishing trip with his friends and family. He began hand-drumming and became an accomplished percussionist, performed with local bands and donated his time and talent to the music ministry at Saint Joseph's parish in North Brookfield for several years. Ed leaves the love of his life and wife of 18 years Jacqueline Perrot of Ware, stepchildren Aaron Haesaert and his wife Lindsay of South Hadley, and Ashley Swett and her Husband Eric of Ware. He was the proud "papa" of four beautiful grandchildren, Alex, Hannah, Charlotte and Alyvia. He also leaves his mother Betty Ann Martin of Brookfield, his devoted sister and lifelong friend Louise Bouchard and her husband Michael of North Brookfield, and his brother Mike Perrot of Agawam. Ed was predeceased by his father Stephen Perrot and his sisters Lorraine Perrot and Virginia O'Neil. He was a very special uncle to Mandy, Jessica, Erica, Matthew, Shannon, Brandon, Michael, Meghan and Stephen, and a great-uncle to Maeve, Gabriel, Nolan, Bennett and Lila. He also leaves his close and lifelong friends Phil Barton and Kurt Heady. Ed will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved him. Calling hours will be Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 2:00pm - 3:00pm with a service to follow at Cebula Funeral Home, 66 South St. Ware, MA. In remembrance of Ed's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities (https://rmhcne.org/).
