Edwin Sojka, Jr.

Edwin Sojka, Jr., age 62, died unexpectedly in Chicopee on Sunday, August 18, 2019.  A native of Ware, he was the son of the late Edwin H. and Theodora (Majka) Sojka.  Edwin graduated from Ware High School, where his love of all sports began, with his passionate support of all his classmates played.  He was an avid fan of UCONN Womens' Basketball and All New England teams, perhaps most of all, his Pats, who he followed by the minute for decades.  Edwin is survived by his sister, Nancy Soka of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Betty Stremich of Ann Arbor, Michigan, his aunts, Irene Jones of Franklin and Matilda Pelis of Hatfield and numerous cousins.  A Requiem Mass will be offered on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church on Maple Street in Ware.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Prader-Willi Syndrome Association, 8588 Potter Park Drive, Suite 500, Sarasota, FL 34238 or pwsausa.org.
