Elizabeth H. (Guzik) Ostiguy

Elizabeth (Betty) Guzik Ostiguy lost her battle with cancer and passed away on March 28, 2019 with Larry, her husband of 48 years, by her side.  Betty attended Ware High School, Holyoke Community College, and graduated from UMASS Amherst with a Bachelors in Fine Arts.  Over the years she worked at The Hardwick Farmers Co-Op, Turley Publications, and the Journal of Antiques as a Graphic Artist.  Her passions were her painting, drawing, and taking pictures, especially of her beloved pets.  She also enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, and going for rides on her Harley.  Besides her husband, she leaves behind two daughters: Amy Shank and her husband Jeff of Hampden, Heather Hedworth and her husband Terry of Hemlock, NY; three sons: Greg and his wife Gloria of West Brookfield, Jason and his girlfriend Chrissy of Winchendon, and Dan of Gilbertville; and a grandson, Hayden Shank.  She is also survived by her sister, Patti Jones and her husband Mike of Falmouth.  In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Betty to support cancer research and patient care at:
