Evelyn E. (Novak) Krol, age 74, passed away suddenly at her home, on Thursday, January 9, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years Edwin Michael "Mickey" Krol on December 18, 2024, just 22 days earlier. Evelyn was born in Ware on August 9, 1950, daughter of the late Paul E. Novak and Rose (Gould) Novak. She was raised in Ware and was a graduate of Springfield Trade School. Evelyn was employed as a secretary for Livingston and Haynes in Ware for many years. She was the "caretaker" for her family, always reliable and helpful. Evelyn loved Maine and everything it had to offer. She and Mickey spent many years vacationing and enjoying Maine. Evelyn loved all animals, her three indoor cats; Bonnie Jean, Cricket and Oscar, and spent time feeding many outside cats. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing that Evelyn and Mickey are together again. Evelyn leaves behind her surviving siblings, her brother, Paul E. Novak, Jr. and his wife Judy, and her sister, Kathy Bourcier and her husband, Phil, her sisters-in-law, Kathy Novak and Janet Berthiaume, her nephew, Jonathan Novak, and nephew and godson, Matthew Novak. She also her best friends/extended family, Stan & Lynn Wrzesien, her godson, Scott Wrzesien and Jenn Bradley, and the Gerulaitis family, that have been there for Mickey and Evelyn from the start. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Besides her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her brothers, Francis Foley and Andrew Novak. Per Evelyn's wishes, cremation will take place in Springfield Cemetery & Crematory, with burial at the convenience of her family next to Mickey in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ware.
