Francis R. Bullan, died peacefully at Baystate Wing Memorial Hospital in Palmer, MA on February 20th 2019 at the age of 91 after a brief illness. Born in Hardwick, MA on April 11th 1927, the son of the late Joseph and Benedicta (Unitis) Bullan. Francis left behind his sister, Phyllis Klem and many nieces and nephews. Francis was predeceased recently by his loving wife Janina C. (Czaja) Bullan, after 71 years of marriage. Francis leaves behind three children; Joseph, Marlene and Joyce. He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Kelly, Kate, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Sara and Leah. Great-grandchildren: Sabastian, Amir, Vivian and Brody. Francis was a U.S. Navy, World War II Veteran, stationed on the USS Power. His passion was fresh water fishing, Francis spent many years on his fishing boat (Fish Tail) catching fish from Montauk, NY to Block Island, RI. He enjoyed reading, stamp collecting, tie flying and making deep sea sinkers from the mold press in his garage. Francis also had a green thumb, which he put to use in his garden, producing an assortment of vegetables for family and friends. He worked in manufacturing for Chapman Valve, a division of Crane Company, in Indian Orchard, MA and Diamond National, in Thorndike, MA. Lastly, he took care of his cherished wife for the past two years. He truly was the "All American Father" treating his family in a humble and respectful way. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at www.st.jude.org. Family and Relatives will honor Francis's life privately. There are no calling hours. Cebula Funeral Home of Ware is assisting his family with the final arrangements.
