Gladys B (Sepka) Kmiec

Gladys B. (Sepka) Kmiec, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield.  She was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on October 20, 1929.  Gladys was the daughter of the late Walter and Annette (Kusek) Sepka.  She graduated from Ware High School in 1948.  Gladys was employed as a cafeteria worker for the Hardwick Elementary School for several years.  She was a member of the Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church in Ware.  Gladys is survived by her four sons:  Chester Kmiec and his wife Judith of Phillipsburg, NJ, Richard Kmiec and his wife Mary Elizabeth of Hardwick, Mark Kmiec and his wife Diana of Hardwick, and Bruce Kmiec and his wife Lorraine of Harrington, Delaware.  Gladys also leaves behind 8 grandchildren:  Michael, Joshua, Matthew, Timothy, Nicholas, Rachel, Kaleb and Bryce. She also leaves behind 4 great-grandchildren:  Genevieve, Isabella, Sawyer and Dorothy.  Gladys also leaves behind her siblings:  Stacia Canton of Palmer, Barbara Johnson, Deborah Danaitis, Steven Szloch, Richard Szloch, and David Szloch, all of Ware.  Sadly, she was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Victor C. Kmiec in 2019, and her sister Phyllis Coache.  Cremation took place in Springfield Cemetery and Crematory.  Gladys will be laid to rest next to Victor in Holy Cross Cemetery in Ware.  Cebula Funeral Home was entrusted with the final arrangements.  For more information and guest book, please visit:  www.cebulafuneralhome.com .
