Glenn (Ikie) S. Czabaj passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 18th, 2019 at home.
Born on January 9, 1950 in Ware, MA, the son of the late Mary A. Czabaj Wiesnewski, he lived his entire life in Gilbertville, MA. Glenn was a student of the first graduating class of Quabbin Regional High School in 1967.
Glenn was employed many years as a Bartender for J. Pilsudski Association and also worked as a concession salesman for Piche & Son in Ware MA going to various shows across the state including Brimfield Antique Show and eastern States Exposition.
Ikie, as Glenn was known by, to many, was an avid sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed the Boston Red Sox. His Polish heritage was of paramount importance to him as he reminisced about his grandparents and their successes after coming to America.
Glenn will be forever remembered by his aunt, Adryanna M Rossi of Barre, MA whom he cherished dearly. an aunt, Eleanor Czabaj of Gilbertville, MA , many cousins and close friends in the surrounding communities.
The family would like to express our gratitude to the Hardwick Police Department for all of the kindness and support extended to our family.
Bobby, Bruce, Sharon, Sandy and all Glenn's acquaintances who reached out to him i so many ways, your kindness and efforts will forever be remembered and stay in our hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Prayer Gathering at Cebula Funeral Home, 66 South Street, Ware MA on Saturday, April 13th, 2019 at 11 am. There will be no calling hours prior to the Prayer Gathering. Burial to immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Rte 9 Ware MA.
