On January 20, 2022 at approximately 3 PM, Gloria J. Maynard passed away quietly and peacefully at home, surrounded by her beloved family, as were her wishes. Gloria was a long-time resident of Ludlow, MA. She was a member of Christ the King Parish in Ludlow. She was a nurses aid at Burch Manor Nursing Home, as well as a machine operator at Cascade's Diamond in Thorndike until retiring. Gloria grew up in Ware, MA with her parents; the late Irwin and Celia (Dziok) Grout and her five siblings: Harry (deceased) Robert, Linda, Shirley and Becky Grout. At 18 years of age, Gloria married David A. Maynard, Sr. of Pitsfield, and moved to Ludlow where she helped raise Dave's three children: David A. Maynard, Jr., Harold A. Maynard (deceased), and Sally J. Maynard Jones; as well as their seven children together: Maureen J. Maynard (deceased), Robert I. Maynard, Darlene J. Maynard, Deborah J. Maynard, Laurie J. Maynard, Randall A. Maynard (deceased), and Michael D. Maynard. Being a Mom was the greatest joy of Gloria's life. Her children were her "Prized Possesion's", as she called them. Gloria leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, 19 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and many other extended family and cherished friends. Gloria loved each and every one of them with all of her heart. She will be greatly missed. May she rest peacefully and rejoice at being reunited with all of her loved ones who passed on before her, especially her oldest daughter, Maureen and her son, Randy, her "Sunshine". We know that they will all be welcoming her with open arms. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 6:30-8:00 PM in the Cebula Funeral Home Chapel, 66 South Street, Ware. A Private Graveside Service will be held the following day for her family only. For more information and online guest book, please visit: www.cebulafuneralhome.com .
