Halina E. (Kupiec) Olearczyk

Ware – Halina E. (Kupiec) Olearczyk, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2026, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on April 22, 1949, in Szczucin, Poland, the daughter of the late Jozef Kupiec and Irena (Krawczyk) Kupiec. She was raised and educated in Szczucin and immigrated to the United States from Poland with her family in 1981. Halina was the loving wife of the late Leszek Olearczyk, who passed away on November 3, 1997. She worked at Hardwick Knitters before spending many years in the dining hall at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Halina was a devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Nothing brought Halina more joy than her family, of whom she was immensely proud. She loved preparing homemade Polish meals from scratch and cherished every opportunity to gather with family and friends, especially when there was music and dancing. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Ware. She leaves behind her loving family: her daughter, Violette Rozkuszka and her husband, Peter; her son, Darek Olearczyk and his wife, Gina; her grandchildren, Alicia Poole and her husband, Tom, Evan Olearczyk, and Erik Olearczyk; her beloved great-granddaughters, Emilia and Nora Poole; her brother, Marian Kupiec; her nieces, Grazyna Szymanska, Anna Atanasov, and Agnieszka Jaskolska; her nephew, Tomasz Kupiec; and her special friend, Guy Mitchell. Calling hours will take place on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 4-6 p.m. at Cebula Funeral Home, 66 South St., Ware. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 57 South St., Ware. Halina will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Leszek, following the Mass at St. Mary's Cemetery, Ware. Memorial donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
