Henry Joseph Haznar, age 96, a longtime resident of Ware, passed away peacefully at his home while
surrounded by loving family on October 15, 2023.
Survived by his beloved wife of 73 years, Jane (Koziol) Haznar. Devoted father of Alan Haznar and his
wife Jean of Appleton, Wisconsin, Cheryl (Haznar) Quigley and her husband, Brad of West Brookfield,
Massachusetts and Lisa Haznar Tyrrell and her husband, Paul of Marshfield, Massachusetts. Adored
grandfather of Ryan Quigley, Megan Quigley, Neil Haznar, Nicole (Haznar) Terrien, Chase Tyrrell and
Caitin Tyrrell and great-grandfather to 6 cherished great-grandchildren.
Son of the late Aniela (Miesowicz) Haznar and Anthony Haznar of Holyoke; and brother to the late
Joseph Haznar and Antoinette (Haznar) Pliska.
Henry served in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge as a disabled veteran of WWII. He
worked for more than 30 years as draftsmen and engineer designing and patterning tools for Moore
Drop Forge until he retired in 1978.
A small private memorial service was held for Henry’s immediate family.
