Jean Agnes (Wozniak) Mongeau

Jean Agnes Mongeau, age 92, passed away while surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Jean was born in Ware and was the proud daughter of Polish immigrants, Anthony Wozniak and Bertha (Krokos) Wozniak. She lived in the same home for her entire life that, through the years, was shared with five generations of her family. After graduating high school, Jean loved working at Durand Sisters and later for the Ware Town Clerk. Jean married Raymond R. Mongeau on May 12, 1956. She was a caregiver, a hard worker, and, above all, the most incredible mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She never left her house without sparkly jewelry and her signature bright pink lipstick. Her generosity, love, sass, and wit will be sorely missed by her friends and family. Jean leaves behind her loving daughters, Kathy Neffinger and her husband Frank, and Marcia Vadnais and her husband Joe; her beloved grandchildren, Brittany and her husband Tommy, Lexie, Collin, Julianna, and Grace; and her precious great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Emelie, and Cooper. Jean was predeceased by her son, Anthony Mongeau, in 2004 and husband, Raymond Mongeau, in 2017. Her family offers a heartfelt thank you to her nurse, Justine, and her caregivers, Tiffany, Kiera, Kristen, Laura, Maria, and Sharon, who provided deep loving care and companionship. A Calling Period will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 from 9 am - 10:30 am in Cebula Funeral Home, Ware.  A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 11 am in St. Mary's Church, Ware.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ware.  Funeral Services are under the direction of Cebula Funeral Home.  For more information and an online guest book, please visit:  www.cebulafuneralhome.com.  Memorial Donations may be made in lieu of floral offerings to either St. Jude's or the Shriners Hospital.
