Judith A. (Mozdzierz) Gauthier

    Judith A. (Mozdzierz) Gauthier, age 72, passed away peacefully August 14, 2019 after a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

       Judy leaves behind her loving  husband of 52 years, Roger E. Gauthier. She also leaves behind her four sons, Daniel Gauthier, Douglas Gauthier and wife Darcy (Oberg) Gauthier, David Gauthier and Derek Gauthier and wife Lee (Piche) Gauthier. Judy also leaves her sister Joyce Gerulaitis and four grandchildren, Dougie, Jeffrey,Alex and Abby. Judy was predeceased by her brother Richard Mozdzierz and sister Betty Almeda .          

        Judy was born in Ware and lived her whole life there. She was the daughter of Leopold and Agnes (Batty) Mozdzierz and attended the  Ware public schools, graduating from Ware High School. She went on to work for Friendly's for 34 years as a shift supervisor and head cook. She made many friends and acquaintances throughout her  years there and told us countless stories about her co-workers or the many "regulars".

       Judy enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren grow up, attending many basketball, football, baseball and softball games throughout the years . She was an avid reader, frequenting the Ware library on a weekly basis. She enjoyed going for rides with her husband Roger to spot deer or moose or any other wildlife that they came upon. Judy took up fishing with Roger in her later years and actually earned a few Mass. state  pins for her catches. Judy also enjoyed watching her favorite team, the Red Sox, win three World Series.

      Calling hours for Judy will be at Cebula Funeral Home on August 24th from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. with a private burial held at a later date . In leiu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Baystate Regional Cancer Program at Mary Lane Hospital, 85 South St. Ware, Ma. or the charity of your choice.
