Judith Ann Hyde, 75, of Ware and Gilbertville, MA, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, after a period of declining health. Born on August 1, 1949, to the late William and Mary (Moore) Bothwell, Judy lived a full and spirited life. She was predeceased by her two infant sons, Thomas and Ryan Krukas; her brother, William Bothwell and his sons Tommy and Jeffrey; her beloved sister and best friend, Linda Stolgitis; and her devoted husband and partner in crime, William Hyde, who passed away in 2020. We’re pretty sure the two of them are already bickering and laughing together again in heaven. Judy is survived by her stepchildren: Christine Stymiest, Kathleen Gleason, Andrew Hyde, and Patricia Smith; her loving sister, Barbara Jackson; and her grandchildren: Shawn Murray, Shelaigh Hyde, Matthew Murray, Shivonne Hyde, Ashley Woodbury, Emily Dafler, and Allison Hyde. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews: Donny Stolgitis, Kristie Stolgitis, Karen Fitzgerald, Alan Jackson, Sherry Jackson, and Randy Bothwell, along with their children, and many extended family members and friends. Judy dedicated much of her career to caring for others, working as a direct care attendant in group homes for individuals with developmental disabilities. Her compassion and strength touched many lives. A proud Red Sox fan, Judy loved her getaways to Aruba and Martha’s Vineyard, trips to Foxwoods, and—most of all—spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She treasured the time she spent babysitting her great-nieces, Bella and Linda, when they were young, and more recently, celebrating holidays with her great-nephews, John and Patrick. Judy was a true spitfire: tough, outspoken, and unfiltered, yet fiercely loyal and full of love for those she held dear. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her sharp wit, fierce honesty, and boundless love. A Visitation Period will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 9 am - 11 am in the Cebula Funeral Home, 66 South Street, Ware. A Prayer Service with Time of Remembrance will take place at 11 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Gilbertville. Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Cebula Funeral Home of Ware. For more information and an online guestbook, please visit: www.cebulafuneralhome.com .
