Katarzyna "Babci" Wozniak, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3, 2022 with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 15, 1921 in Nowosiolki, Poland.
Katherine was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, Babci, grandmother, great-grandmother, and close friend to so many. Her amazing strength and resilience set a great example for all in her life. Her experiences and stories from World War II gave us a unique and deeply personal historical perspective. Babci's wisdom and heartfelt counsel helped all of us in countless ways. We are all blessed to have had her unconditional love and guidance for so many years.
Katherine celebrated her 101st birthday two weeks prior to her passing, with a gathering of family and close friends. She enjoyed her party and had kind words for all who attended and those who phoned her. She was so happy and excited to hold her newly born, great grandson Teddy for the very first time. A legacy of 100 years between them. It was an inspiring and beautiful image that leaves us with yet another beautiful memory of a selfless woman who continued to care for us all to her very last day.
She was the devoted wife of the late Michael Wozniak, and loving mother of Mary White, Edward Wozniak and wife Joan Bentley, and Frederick Wozniak and wife Corinne Keeley. She was the beloved grandmother of Lynn Ryder and husband Bruce, Ross Bullock and wife Michelle, Michael Wozniak and wife Samantha, Jessica Robbins and husband Kyle, Julie Ross and Jennifer Wozniak. She was also the great grandmother of Cody Ryder, Lilly Wozniak, Teddy Wozniak, Hank and Hannah Ross, Felicia Bullock and Olivia, Alice, Isabel, Ethan and Emily Robbins. She also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews. A Funeral Home Service will be held in February for family and close friends. A Graveside Service with Prayers of Committal will take place on Saturday, May 14, 2022 in the Our Lady of Czestochowa Section of St. Mary's Cemetery in Ware at 1 PM.
