Lynda Jean (Seward) Callahan

Lynda Jean (Seward) Callahan, age 67, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.  Lynda was born on January 22, 1953 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, daughter of the late George and Lucille (Roy) Seward.  At a young age she went on to be raised by her late Uncle Joseph Roy and her Aunt June Roy.  The Roy children became second siblings to Lynda. After graduating high school, she went onto attend college for one year.  Lynda was employed for almost 30 years as an Injury Compensation Specialist for the United States Postal Service. Lynda leaves behind her beloved aunt, June Roy of Franklin, MA, her children; Richard C. Callahan IV, of Temple Terrace FL, Robert L. Callahan of Ware, and Kristen Anne Wnek, also of Ware.  She also leaves behind her grandson, Graysen Callahan, and her loving cousins:  James, Robert, Mark, Joseph, Debbie, Joan and Diane, and her former husband, Richard C. Callahan, III of Palmer.  Besides her parents, George and Lucille, she was also predeceased by her brother, George, uncle Joe , and cousin, Donna.  Cremation took place in Springfield Cemetery.  All services will be a the convenience of her family.  Cebula Funeral Home of Ware, was entrusted with the final arrangements.
