Mark Critelli Obituary

Mark Victor Critelli, age 66, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at Baystate Medical Center on February 20, 2023. He was born on July 30, 1956, the son of the late Victor and Sadie (Pardue) Critelli. Mark was a hardworking and devoted husband, father, grandpa, and friend. Throughout his life, he held many jobs, including work in auto body, machine repair, and maintenance. He often told the story of shining shoes as a young boy growing up poor in the South. Mark loved to talk and share his many stories—he would chat with anyone who’d listen, even strangers at the grocery store. He had a deep love for God, fishing, animals, oldies music, tag sales, thrift stores, collecting antique tools, riding his motorcycle, and watching “his shows.” Mark could fix just about anything, did all the sewing for his family, frequently baked his famous brownies, and was known for his spot-on impersonations. He made the funniest faces and always brought laughter wherever he went. Mark will be remembered for his sense of humor and infectious laugh. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Karen; his daughter, Julia; and many other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his younger brother, Michael Critelli, in 2018, whom he lovingly called “little brother.” A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 11am - 1 pm in the Cebula Funeral Home, 66 South St., Ware. In lieu of floral offerings, please make memorial donations to the American Heart Association, P.O.
