Mary A. (Jurczyk) Gruszczynski, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Life Care Center of Wilbraham. Mary was born in Ware on October 15, 1930, daughter of the late Anthony and Agatha (Zoladz) Jurczyk, and was a life-long resident of Ware. She graduated from Ware High School in 1948. Mary entered into Holy Matrimony in 1956 with Victor "Corky" Gruszczynski, in St. Mary's Church in Ware. Together Mary and Corky enjoyed 60 years of marriage, until Corky passed away on November 17, 2016. She will be remembered by those who knew her as a loving person, who was devoted to her family and her catholic faith. Mary was a devoted communicant of St. Mary's Parish, and a long-time member of it's former Ladies Guild. She helped in numerous ways at St. Mary's, from Wednesday Night Bingo, to church suppers and the Carnival. Mary was a long-time cook for the White Eagle's Suppers and Weir River Club Dinners. She enjoyed playing cards, trips to the casino, crocheting, and was known as a Top Bowler in the Rainbow Bowling League. Mary leaves behind her loving daughters, Terry Moriarty and her husband David, and Judy LaValley and her husband Darrell. She was a loving Baci to her grandchildren, Kevin and Leisl Moriarty, Tim Moriarty, Lisa and Sean Lynch, Danielle and Eddie Bonnevie and Drew LaValley. Mary adored being a Great-Baci to Morgan Lynch and Emmett Moriarty. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Alice Ahmed and many nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers: John, Joseph, Stanley and Michael, and her sister, Helen Zabek. A Calling Hour will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 from 9:30 - 10:30 AM in the Cebula Funeral Home Chapel, 66 South Street, Ware. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 AM in St. Mary's Church, 57 South Street, Ware, MA. Mary will be laid to rest next to Corky following the funeral mass in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ware.
