Mary Louise Meshlovitz Obituary

Mary Louise “Mary Lou” Meshlovitz, age 86, was called safely home on April 29, 2025, at Baystate Hospital in Springfield, after a brief illness.  Mary Lou was born in Ware on April 19, 1939.  She is the daughter of the late Walter and Genevieve (Szczepanek) Sinkoski.  She worked in Palmer and Ware School systems as an English and Title 1 teacher for many years.  She also worked at Ware Co-Operative Bank until she retired.   Mary Lou had an extraordinary gift for leaving an impact on everyone she encountered. Mary Lou was known for her unwavering love and support for her family, who were the center of her world.  She leaves her husband Jacob “Butch”, whom she was married to for 63 years.  She also leaves her children, Lynn Bracey and her husband Joseph of North Carolina, Keith Meshlovitz and his wife Lisa of South Carolina and Lisa Saletnik and her husband David of Ware.  She was a devoted “Gram” to her grandchildren, whom her legacy will continue, Kurt Meshlovitz, Nicole Meshlovitz, Lance Bracey, Megan Johnson, Ethan Johnson, Jacob Bracey, Morgan and Genna Saletnik.  She instilled in them the values of kindness, resilience, and the importance of family bonds. She also leaves her sister Nancy Hubert and her husband Donald of New York and their children Michael and Jennifer.  Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of many who were fortunate enough to know her. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel special and cherished, always ready with an encouraging word or a warm embrace. Mary Lou loved spending time with her family, whether it was large family vacation, traveling to see her children or just enjoying celebrations with friends and family.  This brought the most joy to her life and to those around her. She enjoyed the years watching over her grandchildren and see them grown into adults. The family invites all who knew and loved Mary Lou to celebrate her life at All Saints Church, Ware at 12:30 pm on Saturday, May 31, 2025.  Calling hours Friday, May 30, 2025, from 6-8pm at Cebula Funeral Home, Ware MA.
