Michael B. Guzik, best known as Butch and most importantly Big Dziadziu, passed away on December 17, 2021 after enduring respiratory complications due to Covid. Butch was predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years, six months, and six days, Judith C. Guzik, his daughter Lynn Marie and his son Brian M. Guzik. Butch leaves behind his son Chris and his wife Dawn Guzik, and his sons David Guzik and Michael Guzik of Ware. Also, his grandchildren Dakota Guzik, Dylan Guzik, Christopher Guzik and his fiance Ashley Robbins, and Niki Giguere and her husband Alex, as well as four great granddaughters Josie, Loretta, Loralei and Adaline (who will surely miss visits with Big Dziadziu and his freezer full of popsicles.) He also leaves his sister Pam Aucoin and her husband Phil, his sister Terry Dubois and her husband Tony, and his brother Richard Guzik and his wife Flora, as well as many nieces and nephews. Born in Ware on January 2, 1938, Butch stuck around and made himself a name in town. He served in the Navy, had a real estate business and took pride in the family Jeep dealership. Butch was a lifetime member at the Weir River club and loved to socialize and play cards. Butch enjoyed family time: teaching his kids and grandkids to fish and hunt, shoot pool, plant a garden, cook, but most importantly how to put on their dancing shoes. We will all remember him doing his favorite things with that contagious smile. Butch was always up for helping others- a tough guy with a kind heart who lived life fearlessly and to the fullest. To say he will be deeply missed is an understatement, but comfort can be found in our memories and in his reunion with his loved ones on the other side. Funeral services for Butch will be private with a memorial mass and a celebration of his life to be held at a later date. Donations can be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. The Koziol Family of Cebula Funeral Home is assisting Butch's family with the final arrangements. For more information and online guest book, please visit: www.cebulafuneralhome.com .
