Mona Henrietta (Sekula) Piazzo, age 100, passed away peacefully after a long life at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield. Mona was born at home in West Warren on April 12, 1922, daughter of the late Stanley W. Sekula and Agnes (Stadinicki) Sekula, Polish immigrants. She was raised and educated in West Warren. In 1948 she entered into Holy Matrimony with Marino Piazzo, together they have been married for over 74 years. Mona resided in Holland, Massachusetts from 1947-1958, West Brookfield from 1958 - 1986 and Warren, Massachusetts since 1986. She was employed as a cook for Quaboag Regional High School for many years prior to her retirement. Mona was a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish in West Brookfield. She was an avid and talented crafter, making jewelry, crocheting intricate items and loved sewing. Mona leaves behind her loving husband of over 74 years, Marino Piazzo, her son, Kenneth Piazzo and his wife Barbara of Warren, MA, her daughter, Gail Rittlinger and her husband Ronald of St. Augustine, FL, two grandsons, Christopher and his wife, Tammy and Anthony, and four great-grandchildren: Vincent, Samuel, Dylan and Mallory. She was pre-deceased by her six siblings. Mona will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service with Prayers of Committal which will take place on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 10 AM in Holland Cemetery, 29 Brimfield Road, Holland, MA.
