Mona Mary Piontkowski

Mona Mary Piontkowski, age 89, a beloved sister and aunt, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield.  Mona was born in Ware on February 3, 1931, one of eleven children of the late Frank J. Piontkowski and Katherine (Wosczyna) Piontkowski.  She employed for many years at the former Ware Shoe Co. and she retired from the American Athletic Shoe Company.  Mona was a life-long member of St. Mary's Church in Ware.  She is survived by her last brother, Francis Piontkowski, with whom she lived, and several loving nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings:  Stephen, Joseph, Max, Stanley and John Piontkowski, Louise Antczak, Mary Silkiewicz, Stella Strycharz and Regina Piontkowski. A Calling Period will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 10 - 11 AM in the funeral home chapel.  A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 11 AM in the Cebula Funeral Home Chapel.  Fr. Piotr Calik will preside, and burial will follow in the Our Lady of La Salette Section of St. Mary's Cemetery in Ware.
