Patricia R. (Anair) Orszulak, age 85, passed into Eternal Life on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family after fighting a long and courageous battle with ALS. She was born in Ware on January 4, 1934, daughter of the late Frank and Lucienne (Couture) Anair. Patty graduated from Ware High School in 1952 and the University of Massachusetts in Amherst in 1956. Patty was a Math teacher for over 30 years retiring from Ware High School in 1993, where she was the head of the Math Department for 13 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Ware, where she taught CCD. Patty was a member of the Rosary Sodality, Ladies Guild, a Eucharistic Minister and very devoted to visiting the sick. She was also part of the PTO, and a volunteer for both BINGO and the St. Mary's Carnival. One of her biggest joys was teaching her grandchildren their prayers and watching them make their blessed sacraments. Patty is survived by her husband of 61 years, Rudolph A. Orszulak, her sons, Rudolph P. of Ware, Thomas and his wife Susan of Ellington, CT, Peter and his wife Philippa of Greenwich, CT, Joseph and his wife Patricia of Ware and her daughter Marilou and her husband Michael of West Brookfield. She was predeceased by a son, Philip, two sisters, Anita Siegel and Theresa Kularski. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren; Ryan, Benjamin, Sydney, Graham, Travis, Chelsea, Tyler, Philip, Nathan, Kyle, Gabrielle and Jacquilynne. She leaves behind 5 siblings, Constance Baron, Diane Stelmokas, Francis, Richard and Walter Anair, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 17th from 4 - 8 PM in the Cebula Funeral Home, 66 South Street, Ware, MA. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 AM on Monday, March 18th in St. Mary's Church. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church on Monday morning. Patty will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery in Ware following the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Mary's Parish in her memory.
