Philip Rene Hayward, age 61, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Philip was born in Ware on September 24, 1960 son of the late Gordon Hayward and Betty (Davis) Hayward. He resided in Southbridge for many years and since 2001 has been a resident of Warren. Philip was employed for many years at the TJ Max Warehouse in Worcester. He was a forklift operator and mechanic. Philip also worked as a maintenance person for Quaboag on the Common in West Brookfield. He was a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, brother, uncle, godfather and friend, whom will be deeply missed. Philip is survived by his beloved wife of almost 17 years, Susan M. Christman-Hayward, two loving daughters; Rebecca Fergurson and Jocelyn Hayward, step-daughter, Beth Christman and step-son, Christopher Christman, 4 grandchildren: Kyleigh, Mischa, Davannie and Jennifer. He is also survived by his siblings, brother, Michael Hayward and his wife Peggy, brother, Christopher Hayward and his wife, Marie, sister, Virginia Hayward, godson, Jeremiah Phillip Hayward, and several nieces and nephews. Sadly, Philip was pre-deceased by his sons, Justin and Derek Hayward in 1983. Cremation will take place in Springfield Cemetery & Crematory. Philip will be laid to rest in Aspen Grove Cemetery Ware in the spring at the convenience of his family . Cebula Funeral Home-Ware is assisting his family with the final arrangements.
