Richard Anthony Flathers

Richard A. Flathers 77, departed from this earth on Tuesday afternoon April 28, 2026 in his home in Warren MA. He was born and educated in Springfield MA. Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He is survived by his loving wife Cynthia Flathers. Preceded in death by his father and mother, Paul and Dorothy Flathers as well as two of his sons Kenneth Flathers and Jason Flathers. Richard has two sisters, Susan Dorsey and Lynda DeMarinis. He also leaves behind his children, John Flathers and his wife Shelly, Matthew Flathers, Brandie Epps and her husband Kareem Epps, Sarah Rhoades and husband Gary Rhoades, Jennie Flathers, Samuel Linendoll and Asia Flathers. As well as fourteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. Richard was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed a bit of gambling and cards with friends on the weekend. He loved his classic cars as well as working on them as a long time career until retirement. Richard passed away but not without leaving behind a lifetime of jokes and memories. He would want you to grab a beer and turn up the music and not be sad. He lived life on his own terms. So next time you're fishing, playing cards or having a beer, toast to Richard and remember the good times.
