Richard G Leneau, 91, passed away peacefully at home on Friday February 21, 2025. Born March 19, 1933, to the late Felix J and Anna (Lawrence) Leneau. Richard is preceded by his wife Claire Leneau, granddaughter Ashley Leneau, brothers Henry Leneau, Robert Leneau and sisters Rose Collins and Clara Klaver. He is survived by his daughters Joyce Kibbe and Rosemary Golas, his sons Richard Leneau Jr and Mark Leneau, his grandchildren Christine Heydare and her husband Hooman, Melissa Kibbe, Renee Ziemba and her husband Nate, Stacey Golas, Theresa Golas, Marcia Golas, Amber Francisco and her wife Angie, Amanda Leneau and Alicia Leneau and her fiancé Shawn Emery, his Great Grandchildren Desiree Leneau, Ali Heydare, Jaylynn Heydare, Dominic Shannon, Steven Vallerie, and Paisley Golas, his sisters Pauline Flahive and Nancy Forte, his brother Edward Leneau and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Richard worked as a roofer for many years and would proudly point out the work he had done, even long after his retirement. He loved going fishing whenever he could. Often, he could be found sitting on his front porch waving to people as they drove by, and his Sundays would be spent passing out candy to the members at New Birth Church. Richard loved his family and friends and was dearly loved in return. He will be sorely missed by so many. Calling hours will be held on Saturday March 15, 2025, from 1:00pm until 3:00pm with a service following at New Birth Church 4025 Church St, Thorndike, MA 01079. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to New Birth Church. "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.' " -John 11:25-26 .
