Richard Walter Pariseau

Ware - Richard Walter Pariseau, age 91, passed away peacefully at his residence in Ware on Saturday, May 23, 2026.  Richard was born in Ware on August 7, 1934, son of the late Walter Pariseau and Medora (Provost) Pariseau. Raised and educated in Ware, he attended Ware High School and was a graduate of Springfield Trade School.  He received an associate's degree from STCC.  Richard served as the appointed Fire Chief for the Town of Ware from 1980 - 1989.  Richard was a long-time resident of Ormond Beach, Florida.   He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of AMVETS. Richard was a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus and served in its Color Guard for many years.  He was also a long-time member of the Elks Lodge of Springfield.  Richard was a devout Catholic, attending daily mass.  He was a communicant of All Saints Church in Ware.  Richard had a special place in his heart for St. Anne's Shrine in Fiskdale, attending masses and the annual St. Anne Novena in July. Richard volunteered as a funeral attendant for Cebula Funeral Home for many years. On April 25, 1959, Richard entered into Holy Matrimony with Victoria Wolkowicz.  Together side by side, through good times and bad, sickness and health, they have been married for 67 years.  Richard leaves behind his beloved wife, Victoria (Wolkowicz) Pariseau, nephews; Joseph Wolkowicz and his wife Cate, and Nick Wolkowicz, great-nephews and niece, and many additional nephews and nieces. Cremation took place in Springfield Cemetery & Crematory.  Funeral Services will take place at the convenience of his family.
