Robert "Bob" E. Bousquet, age 79, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed peacefully on September 21, 2019 surrounded by family. He was born on March 10, 1940 in Ware, son of the late Armond and Irene (St. Amand) Bousquet. Bob grew up in Ware, attending Mt. Carmel School and then attending Springfield Trade School. Bob lived a full, and active life. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a singer and played lead guitar in his many bands which took him to Greenland, California and thorough out New England. Bob was a sheet metal worker and a member of Union Local #65 for 40 years. In 1971, Bob bought Lakeview Lounge in Palmer, MA which he ran for over 30 years and where his band "The New Horizons" played on weekends entertaing young and old. He was devoted and looked forward to holding yearly, Make-A-Wish fund raisers, raising thousands of dollars over the years which he was was so happy to do. He was a proud member of the Masons for over 25 years. He sold Lakeview Lounge in 2006 and retired to travel around in his RV before settling down in North Port, Florida, where he enjoyed relaxing in his pool, before moving to Punta Gorda, Florida. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed shooting pool with the guys. He loved to play cribbage and was a member of the American Cribbage Congress, playing tournaments through out the United States, earning Master Status. He was a Loyal New England Patriots Fan. Bob was his happiest when he was spending time with his family. He especially loved the summer family reunions on Cape Cod. Bob will be sadly missed by his three children; Robert Bousquet of Hardwick, Diane LaBarge and husband Bill of Ware, Armando Bousquet and Candy of South Barre, five grandchildren: Jamie-Lynn (Kochanek) Horton of Killeen, Texas, Trista (Tebo) Labier of Warren, Brittany Bousquet of Hardwick, Tyler and Sarah Bousquet of Hardwick, six great grandchildren: Anthony, Myia, Emily, Hunter, Jackson, and Adam, he also leaves his two sisters: Sylvia Cote of Manchester, New Hampshire, and Francine Polek and her husband John of Somers, Connecticut, he leaves many nieces and nephews and two cousins. Bob was godfather to Roma, Ashley and Jordan. He was predeceased by his wife, Madelyn, his son, David, his brother, Richard and his sister Patricia (Bousquet) Cahoon. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Tidewell Hospice for all their kindness, loving care, and support. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at All Saints Church, 17 North Street, Ware at 10 AM.
