Ware - It is with great sorrow that our family announces the death of our dad and pepe, Robert Donald Brown, Sr. He passed away at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield on Friday, February 2, 2024 from natural causes. "Pepe" as he was known to his family, was born in Colchester, Vermont (Chittenden County) on September 27, 1944 to the late Wilbur Edward Brown and Katherine Margaret (Moulton) Brown. He was from a family of 7 brothers and sisters, who have predeceased him. Bob has one surviving sister, Shirley Cook of New York. He has left his long-time love, Sandra Brown, with whom he had four children; Robert Brown and his wife Michelle, Darin Brown and his wife Lori, Shellie Brown and her fiance, Dean, and Gloria Boone and her husband David. Pepe leaves behind six grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Bob was employed for most of his life as an employee of Ludlow Paper Mill, now Kanzaki Specialty Papers, where he retired after 20 plus years of service. He enjoyed building items, fishing, socializing, playing the guitar, and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle with his family. Bob will be cremated at Springfield Cemetery & Crematory in Springfield. The family will have a Celebration of His Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, sympathy cards may be sent to his family at 175 Osborne Road, Ware, Massachusetts, 01082. Cebula Funeral Home, Ware is assisting his family with the final arrangements.
