Obituary

 

Gilbertville  -   A Military Graveside Service with Prayers of Committal will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 10 AM in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Gilbertville.  Roland passed away on March 8, 2018.  He was a United States Army, Vietnam War Veteran.  He served from December 7, 1965 - September 9, 1967 and was Honorably Discharged with the rank of SP4.  Roland received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Expert Rifle M-14 Badge.  He was a member of the AMVETS, American Legion and the VFW. Roland gave 34 years of service to the Town of Hardwick as a part time police officer and was employed by the Town of Hardwick, as an assistant operations manager for the WasteWater Treatment Plant.  Roland left behind his wife, Diann (Pierce) Kosla, his son Edward Kosla, and his grandchildren:  Trevor, Dustin, Danilyn, Landon and Brayden.  Sadly, since he passed in 2018, his son, John, also passed away in 2019.
