Rose Madry Obituary

Rose Marie (Orszulak) Madry, age 83, was undoubtedly called to Heaven unexpectedly, but peacefully in the night, on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 while recovering nicely from a successful hysterectomy that was performed the prior Monday.  She was fittingly found by her eldest son, David, lying in bed clutching her rosary beads with her arms folded across her chest, as was her nightly prayer ritual.  She was born in Ware on September 10, 1935 to the late Rudolph and Nellie (Koziol) Orszulak. Rose graduated from St. Mary's School in 1950 and Ware High School in 1954. She worked full-time as an office clerk for the Pilch's at Ware Machine, and part-time a book keeper for St. Mary's School lunch program and then as a kitchen aide for the Monson Developmental Center. Rose was otherwise a devoted homemaker.  All who knew her, knew her to be tirelessly devoted to her large family, The Roman Catholic Church and St. Mary's Parish, along with the sick and dying for whom she visited and cared.  She was a communicant at St. Mary's Church in Ware.  She was also a member of the Rosary Solidarity, Ladies Guild, and an unfailing maker of pierogi's for St. Mary's fund raisers.  In addition, Rose was a faithful volunteer for both BINGO and the St. Mary's Carnival and a regular participant in religious events held at Mary Farm. She is survived by her husband, Lester, and her two sons, David of Ware, and James of Fredericksburg, VA, along with her siblings, Rudolph Orszulak, Paul Orszulak and his wife Colleen, Pat Mozgala and her husband John, and Joe Orszulak, all of Ware.  She was predeceased by her younger brother, John, and sister-in-law, Patty Orszulak,. also of Ware.  She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Troy, Amanda, Alyssa, Dylan and Alex, as well as by her great-grandchildren, Natalia, Leigha, Kenneth James, Autumn and Jaxson not too mention many nephews, nieces and friends.  A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in St. Mary's Church in Ware.  Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church on Tuesday morning.  Rose will be laid to rest on St. Mary's Cemetery in Ware following the funeral mass. Calling Hours will be held on Monday, April 15, 2019 from 6 - 8 PM in Cebula Funeral Home Chapel, in Ware.
