Gilbertville - Rose A. (Zaganiacz) Skutnik, age 99, passed away on December 1, 2020 at Brookhaven Assisted Care in West Brookfield, with her family by her side. Rose was born on September 2, 1921 in Gilbertville, daughter of the late John and Frances (Ligawiec) Zaganiacz. She was raised and educated in Gilbertville, and was a life-long resident. Rose was employed as a seamstress for the former Seven Sisters in Ware, before her retirement in 1986. She was a faithful, life-long communicant of St. Aloysius Church in Gilbertville. Rose is survived by her loving granddaughter, Lisa M. Wojcik of Lexington, MA, her son-in-law and primary caregiver, Stanley "Stash" Wroblicki of Ware, and her great-grandson, Colin. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her six siblings, her beloved husband, Stephen J. Skutnik in 2000, and her devoted daughter Rose Ann Wroblicki in 2001. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 10 AM in St. Aloysius Church, Church Street, Gilbertville. Everyone will meet directly at the church on Friday morning. Due to the current COVID-19 state guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing must be followed during the services. Rose will be laid to rest in St. Aloysius Cemetery following the funeral mass. There are no calling hours. Cebula Funeral Home of Ware is assisting her family with the final arrangements.
