Sharon Jean Harris (Lindamood), a loving wife, step mom, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, and nana, passed away peacefully and comfortably at the age of 62 on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts after a lengthy illness.
She was born on September 7, 1959, in Greenville Ohio and was the daughter of Joseph Plessinger (deceased) and Shirley Plessinger of Winchester, Indiana. Sharon leaves three sisters, Cathy Kirtley, Husband Art Kirtley of Lynn, Indiana, Janell Bowmer, husband John Bowmer, of Winchester, Indiana, and Theresa Hopkins of Lynn, Indiana. She also had 8 nieces and nephews.
Sharon graduated from Randolph Southern High School in Lynn, Indiana class of 1978. She was employed as an emergency medical technician for most of her working years. Sharon was an artist at heart. She loved to paint with her father and create unique wooden pieces such as painted landscapes on old saws. In 1978 she painted a 16’ high and 14’ wide mural on her high school gym wall. She was kind, assertive, and outspoken, had a great sense of humor, and loved to spend time with friends and her grandbabies. Growing up she also enjoyed sports and had a love for animals.
Sharon married the love of her life, Linda Marie Harris on April 14, 2009. In 2015 she moved from Richmond, Indiana with her wife to Belchertown, Massachusetts to live with her step family, Paul and Christine Brown, and to help raise her grandbabies Amelia, Abigail, Audrey, and Oliver. She also wanted to be closer to stepson, Justin Harris and wife Courtney Harris of Fitchburg, Massachusetts.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Cebula funeral home of Ware, Massachusetts has been entrusted with her cremation and funeral arrangements. A remembrance service will be held for Sharon on Saturday, July 16th at 6pm at Cebula Funeral Home, 66 South Street Ware, MA 01082.
