Sheila Dorothy (Sullivan) Francesketti, age 96 of West Warren passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Mayflower Skilled Nursing Center in West Yarmouth, MA. Sheila was the beloved wife of the late Paul Francesketti for 46 years and a devoted mother to her daughter, Becky White (Glen). She was a loving grandmother to Christopher Tanca (Silvia Fumagalli), Leslie Tanca (Ken Binick), Lauren Tanca (Dan Peciaro), Kyle Ebbighausen, and Brett Ebbighausen, and great-grandmother to Livia, Myles, Leo, Vittoria, Amelia, and Lawton, all of whom she cherished. She leaves behind nieces and nephews who were dear to her.
Sheila was the daughter of the late Daniel and Sophie Sullivan, and is predeceased by her brother, Daniel Sullivan, and her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret “Peg” Hartshorn and Dr. Calvin Hartshorn. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Maria Dolores de Armas Verdugo (Loly).
Before leaving the workforce, Sheila worked at William E. Wright & Sons in the Payroll Department. She was an active member of the community, serving as a Board Member of the West Warren Water District and working at the polls during elections over the past 60 years.
Sheila loved to knit, sew, and quilt. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Stanislaus Parish, where she spent endless hours making pierogi, golumpki, and other polish specialties with her friends. She was an avid reader and loved to visit libraries and “walk through the stacks.” She also loved to travel, especially internationally, and visited family in Germany, Holland, Denmark, the Canary Islands, Italy, Greece, and the United Arab Emirates.
Calling hours will be Friday, July 7, 2023 from 5:00-7:00pm at Cebula Funeral Home in Ware. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Stanislaus Parish in West Warren, followed by burial at Pine Grove Cemetery in Warren.
