Stanislawa Wlodarczyk Obituary

Stanisława Włodarczyk, age 94, passed away peacefully at home and surrounded by family on Tuesday October 12, 2021.

She was born in the village of Słupiec, near the Vistula River in Southeastern Poland. She lived there with her parents, sister, and three brothers, and later married her brother’s friend Ludwik, and was married to him for over 50 years until his death in 1999.

Stasia, Ludwik and their three children Irene, Stephanie, and Mary immigrated to Gilbertville, MA in 1965 and made it their home. Stasia devoted her entire life to her family and was loved by all who knew her. Not only did she raise her own children, but she was like a mother to all of her grandchildren as well.

Stasia was an excellent seamstress and cook. She would sew clothes for herself and her daughters, and she could often be found in the kitchen, cooking up old Polish recipes and singing songs or reciting silly rhymes from her youth. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and was always cracking jokes – especially about herself and what an old lady she was. She would often recount stories about her life in Poland, and everyone loved to listen to them.

She loved visiting with family and friends, feeding the birds and taking care of her beloved pets, tending to her flower garden, listening to rock and roll music on the local radio station, and going polka dancing.

Stasia was also a devout Catholic. Facing many tragedies growing up in Poland during World War 2, Stasia never lost her faith or her strength. She instilled her strong values and wisdom in those around her, especially in her children and grandchildren. Her loving and nurturing personality made everyone she knew want to be around her. She was the best example of a human being. She was loved by everybody and loved them twice as much. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Stasia leaves behind her 3 daughters, 8 grandchildren – Kasia, Lizzy, Sean, Rachael, Lauren, Chrissy, Andrea, and Nick, and 6 great grandchildren – Ani, Kaia, Gabriel, Carter, Sam, and Desi.
