Stanley Joseph Koczur, Jr., 78, of 254 Greenwich Road, Ware entered eternal rest at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, surrounded by his family on March 10, 2022.
He leaves his wife, Carol (Winslow) Koczur whom he was married to for 58 years, his daughter, Donna Lee (Koczur) Phelan and her husband Randal Phelan of Germantown, New York; and his son Douglas Richard Koczur and his wife Germaine (Durepo) Koczur of Hardwick, MA.  Stanley leaves his grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Andrew Koczur and his wife Courtney, Megan Phelan and her fiance, Mitchel Black. Kurtis Coffin-Koczur, Zachary Coffin-Koczur, Brodie Koczur and two great grandchildren, Leo Koczur and Anna Koczur.
He was born in Ware, son of the late Stanley J. Koczur, Sr., and Anna (Skowyra) Koczur.  He was pre-deceased by a son, Paul Koczur, his parents Stanley and Anna and two sisters, Barbara Shea and Geraldine Koczur.
Stanley was a graduate of Western New England College with a Degree in Business Administration.  He spent his working career in the paper industry.  He began in 1962 as a Production Planner and Scheduler for Ludlow Corporation/Fine Paper Division.  In 1971 he worked as the Manufacturing Superintendent for Ludlow Corporation Flexible Packaging Division.  In 1976 he accepted a position in Maine at Lincoln Pulp and Paper as the Manager of Customer Service, Production Planning and Scheduling, Inventory Control and the Printing Department.  He also managed Dutch Island Lodge on South Branch Lake.  In 1984 he moved his family back to Ware and became the Converting Superintendent for Lineweave Fine Papers.  Stanley finished his career at Kanzaki Specialty Papers as the Central Operations Manager in charge of purchasings.
Stanley loved sports and was proud of his children and grandchildren's athletic accomplishments.
He was a member of All Saints Church, Club 12 and the Weir River Club.  He enjoyed working the Club 12 clambakes along with fishing, hunting, playing pool and playing cards.
The family will hold a Graveside Service on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 10 AM in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Ware.
