Heaven gained another angel from our family on September 8th when Steven M. Defronzo passed after a long battle with cancer. Born in 1959 to parents Rosemary Defronzo (who he has now joined in Heaven) and Morando Defronzo of Massachusetts. Steve spent his entire life in Massachusetts and graduated from Ludlow High School. He worked as a mason for many years around the state. He had a passion for fishing and loved spending time in quiet, peaceful areas as well as hiking on trails with his beloved dogs. He loved his dog Teddy, who probably greeted him at Heaven’s gate, ready to play. Steve had an excellent sense of humor and often made his many cousins laugh, especially Patti Lenihan-Armstrong and Richard Lenihan III, who cared for him during his illness and in his final days. He also enjoyed chatting with his cousin Christopher O’Connor. He was sometimes very vocal about his politics and had a heart of gold, caring deeply about others. A celebration of life will be held for Steve on Saturday, September 21st at 2:00 PM at the Enfield Elks Lodge in Enfield, Connecticut – 138 North Maple Street.
