Victor C. Kmiec

Victor C. Kmiec, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer.  He was born in Gilbertville on October 27, 1927, son of the late Joseph and Helena (Kosla) Kmiec and was a life-long resident of Gilbertville.  Victor graduated from the former Hardwick High School in 1945.  He enlisted in the United States Navy on December 10, 1945 and was Honorably Discharged on December 9, 1947.  Victor married Gladys B. Sepka in 1949 and celebrated 70 years of marriage together. He was employed as a supervisor for the former Ware Knitters, Inc. for many years, before his retirement in 1989.  Victor was a member of the Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church of Ware.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Gladys B. (Sepka) Kmiec, four sons, Chester Kmiec and his wife Judith, Richard Kmiec and his wife Mary Elizabeth, Mark Kmiec and his wife Diana, and Bruce Kmiec and his wife Lorraine.  Victor also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  Funeral Services and burial will be held at the convenience of his family.  Cebula Funeral Home, has been entrusted with his final arrangements.
